The mission of the Houston Area Safety Council as an innovative leader is building safer workplaces by improving the quality and integrity of the workforce. The membership of HASC, Inc. is comprised of more than 2700 contractor companies and over 220 owners from the greater Houston Industrial Complex and beyond.

Industrial Safety Training Council
The Industrial Safety Training Council is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit training and education organization located in Southeast Texas. With a location in Baytown, Texas and Corporate offices in Nederland, Texas, (just south of Beaumont, Texas) ISTC delivers safety training and site specific job safety orientations to contractors, as well as the employees of 42 local Refining and Chemical plants.

The mission of the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils, Inc. (ARSC) is to provide consistent and cost effective reciprocal safety education that conforms to regulatory standards and industry accepted practices. The success of ARSC is determined by safety training organization's committed to the sharing of resources, expertise and best practices. The results are shared cost with Association members who maintain and utilize current, state of the art training programs for a fraction of the development cost, while ensuring program integrity by reciprocal members via audits and program reviews.

The Owner Members of the Houston Business Roundtable (HBR) and the Houston Area Safety Council (HASC) recognize the benefits of having a safe and substance abuse-free work force. The North American Substance Abuse Program (NASAP) is a standard contractor employee testing program that will promote a safe and substance abuse-free work force while minimizing administrative expense by establishing a centralized reporting point where results of substance abuse testing can be readily accessed by authorized Owner and Contractor representatives.
